Prom Hunt

Senior year..... the bliss..... the stress.... the performance tasks...... Seniors Night?

So here's the situation, most people I know already have ideas on who to take for our Seniors Night which is "prom" for others. It's Seniors' Night for The Assumption schools. Meanwhile, this girl with the fringe that can bust a move to Call Me Maybe, cannot even get one date..... life is hard when you're not popular, life is hard when you blend in the background, life is hard because I am me.

A small girl that I am, I usually don't get noticed by boys my age because they all think I'm too 'child-looking' or too small, well I say ef that poop. Size doesn't define one's capabilities and weaknesses, it's genetics. One's beauty is subjective, to one person he/she may be ugly but to another he/she may be the most beautiful creature one has ever seen.

Prom Hunt. The premise of my post. I am currently in the middle of a dilemma whether to ask some guy I barely know or this other guy who is younger than me who I presume is gay but he's a great friend nevertheless. lol

I still have about 7 months to look for a partner, but damn, I am so lazy to pick a partner. Oh well just as long as he's not shorter than I am, we're good to go.

Essay Rant

What makes an essay excellent? Is it the vocabulary of the author? The indents and the punctuation?  Well, they all matter, not to mention the organization and the neatness of your essay. It also must be coherent, polished and worth the ink of your 70 php G-Tech pen.

In high school, people expect you to learn big words, big fascinating words that will make ordinary people's noses bleed, especially when your school is best known for its high standards in the English department. (Hello Assumption)

So here I am, pretty much ranting about the number of essays we have to write in a school year and my friends, it's more than I hundred, journalism class alone pretty much takes up 1/4 of it. Don't get me wrong, I love essays, but I just want to take a test knowing that you're not required to write 2-3 paragraphs about the lesson and how you can apply it to your life or other fields, like damn, I don't even know anymore, man.

One thing about essays though, is that it helps you expand your knowledge about generalities and widens your vocabulary by a mile. Not to mention, college.

The way you write your essay may determine whether you belong to that university you've been aspiring to attend, so to sum it all up; Essays suck, but we love them anyways.
